My name is Rose Prince. I am a textile designer specialising in woven material exploration. My practice centres on texture, structure, and the sensory qualities of cloth, creating textiles that invite touch and foster a deeper material connection. I am particularly inspired by colour and often dye my own yarns. This allows me to gain greater creative control when developing colour palettes.

Having worked in a care home since the age of 17, I have developed a parallel interest in how textiles can support wellbeing. Over the past four years, I have explored how cloth can be used to calm and comfort through texture, familiarity, and sensory engagement. By combining visually rich surfaces with considered tactility, I aim to create textiles that are not only aesthetically compelling but also emotionally supportive and meaningful within interior and care environments.
